He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Jackson and Virginia Jones Horne; and his siblings, Dean, Nub, Larry, Steven Horne, Hilda Moseley, Corrine Moore, Margaret Milligan and Jackie Higginbotham.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Higginbotham Horne; his children, Suzanne Horne Neal, Darin (Lauren), Wayne and Daniel Horne; his sister Mary Higginbotham; his grandchildren, Jesse Horne (Blair), Alex Horne (Katherine), Sydney Horne, Max Horne, Jackson Horne, Elizabeth Vaughn (Dustin), Abigail Neal and Zachary Neal; and his great grandchildren, Kendall, Norah and Bennett Vaughn.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Gray Mortuary (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gray Mortuary Chapel (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669).
