With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Sammons of Williamston, South Carolina, who passed away on September 16, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Karen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack L. Brown and Doris Taylor Brown; and her brother Danny Brown. She is survived by: her husband Michael "Mike" Earl Sammons; her children, Michael Wayne Sammons (Cindy) and Angela Burgess; and her sister Jackie McJunkin (Rex). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
