He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilton Vance Gary Cooley, Sr. and Sidney Elizabeth Watts Cooley; his wife Elizabeth Pruitt Cooley; and his grandson Mark Gahagan. He is survived by: his daughters, Frances Gahagan (Drew) of Brunswick, GA and Ann Cooley (John Toumaras) of Alpharetta, GA; his grandchildren, Rachel Keller (Patrick Griffore), Kevin Gahagan and Katherine Toumaras; and his great grandchildren, Brandon Keller, Logan Keller, Corey Griffore, KC Griffore and Alexa Griffore.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Gray Mortuary (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gray Mortuary Chapel (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669).
