She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kennedy and Lillie Ray Kennedy; her husband Edward Hilmer; her son Randy Hutto; her stepson Edward "Wardie" Hilmer; and her siblings, Betty Rowell, Delma Hair, Rachel Saunders, L. B. Kennedy, C. B. Kennedy and Billy Kennedy.

She is survived by: her great grandchild Anchor Post Acute; her children, Cecil "Rodney" Hutto of Barnwell and Wanda Singletary (Toby) of Elko; and her grandchildren, Chris Hutto (Patricia) of Barnwell, Cathy Garcia (Tino) of Blackville, Bryan Singletary (Rachael) of Trenton and David Hutto (Amber) of Long Branch. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and several great, great grandchildren.
