He was predeceased by: his parents, John Davis and Faye Hoover; and his siblings, Janet Phillips and Brian Davis. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bates Mead; his children, Lynn Mead Hensel of Conover, NC, Anthony Bruce "Tony" Mead (Katherine) of St. Helena Island, SC and Chad Mead (Stephanie) of Long Branch, SC; his grandchildren, Anthony "Bruce" Mead, Jr. (Tiffani), Summer Palmer (Ronnie), Payslee Mead, Jax Mead and River Mead; his great grandchildren, Anders, Reece Mead, Violet, Scarlet and Greyson Palmer; his brothers, Chuck Davis (Althea) of Lexington, SC and Mike Davis (Michelle) of Gilbert, SC; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Bodiford (Jimmy) of Long Branch, SC, Pamela Fields of Lexington, SC and Tansi; and his friend Pearlene Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
