He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis D. Grady, Jr. and Leila Johnson Grady; and his siblings, Marie Boylston, Frances Woodward (Elbert) and Louis D. "Jimmy" Grady, III.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Jean Johnson Grady; his children, Carol Spain, Verna Dobson (Paul) and Vernon "Frank" Grady, Jr. (Becky); his grandchildren, James "Jamie" Davis (Carol), Jackie Hall (Jason), Bryan Davis, Nicholas "Nick" Dobson (Caroline), Cullen Grady and Austin Grady (Kristi); his great grandchildren, Grady Hall, Bennett Hall and Colby Riggs Dobson; and his brother-in-law Melvyn Boylston.
Mr. Grady's main contribution to the reserves was designing and implementing a program to provide identification cards to reserve members as required by law.
