He is survived by: his wife Patty Shipes; his brother Jerry Shipes; his children, Sherry Shipes, Michael Shipes, Steven Shipes (Kim), Scott Shipes (Tonya) and Robbie Shipes (Janice); his grandchildren, William Shipes (Beth), Dr. Berlene Shipes (Scott Howard), Makenzie Smith (Tyler), Hunter, Chandler, Parker, Joe, Joshua, Carter, Hampton, Michael and Johnathan Shipes; and his great grandchildren, Oliver, Stella, Voss, Vivienne, Noah, Raleigh, Rigby, Dalton, Blake, Arijah and Hailey.
