He was predeceased by: his parents, George Samuel and Myrtis E. Couch Roe; the mother of his children Mary Ann Roe; and his siblings, Wynez Elizabeth Roe, Lillie Mae Agner, George Roe, Paul Edgar Roe Sr. (Sandra) and John David Roe.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Nunn (Smith) of Johns Island, SC and Ralph Eugene "Bubba" Roe, Jr. (Dee Byrd) of Windsor, SC; his grandchildren, Samantha Ban (Johnny), Kristena Nunn and Kylee Byrd; his great grandchildren, Tray Bevins, Farrah Ban, Frances Ban and Jolene Ban; and his sister-in-law Essie Mae Roe of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
