She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Loring Geddings and Elizabeth Irene Ragsdale Geddings; and her husband James Pringle Macfie, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, James P. Macfie, Jr. (Hope) and Elizabeth Macfie Butler (Rob); and her grandchildren, Evan Macfie (Andrea), Nicholas Butler, Hannah Macfie and Christopher Butler (Anna Katherine).
