She was predeceased by : her parents, William Franklin and Clara Peake Wilson; her husband Herbert B. Cooper Sr.; her children, Vanessa Muller and Gerald Cooper; her siblings, Woodrow Wilson, Talmadge Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Sidney Wilson, Lois Osieck, Audrey Moore, June Shirley and Patsy Tate; and her granddaughter Whitney Muller.

She is survived by : her brother Archie Wilson; and her grandchildren, Will Muller (Whitney Fleming), Cooper Muller (Lacie Sanders), Melanie Sharpe (Jennings), Jacob Cooper (Zaria) and Gabbie Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Elva's memory to Fairfield County Council on Aging located at 210 E Washington St, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
