He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Bairefoot and Myrtis Bairefoot; his wife Dorothy "Dot" Bairefoot; his daughter Cynthia Bairefoot; and his granddaughter Stephanie Bairefoot.

He is survived by: his children, Stephen Bairefoot (Renee), Dorinda Harvey (Jessie), Pam Bairefoot (Robert), Elizabeth Bankhead (Bobby) and Amanda Johnson (Douglas); and his grandchildren, Michelle Windham (Roger), Brian Bairefoot, Katharine, Danielle Bankhead, Savannah, Asia Bairefoot, Mia, Deana and Jasmine Johnson. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
