She was predeceased by: her parents, John Adair and Ellen Epps Adair; her husband Paul Messer; her children, Diane Steadman, Sandy Woody, Kenneth Lanford (Snake) and Ricky Lanford Sr.; her grandchildren, Nancy Johnson (Kenneth), Ricky Lanford Jr. (Emily), Dana Stacey (Chris), Dena Smith, Bo Smith (Lisa), Randall Woody (Ricki), Dawn Hughes and Nick Woody; her great grandchildren, Kimber Allison (Silas), Bryson Stewart, Haylee Stacey, Brody Stewart, Peyton Lanford, Brock Stewart, Evie Lanford, Conner Smith, River Woody, Cole Smith and Brayden Woody; her great great grandchildren, Malachi Wallace, Brayden Wallace, Cayleigh Humphries and Alleigh Humphries; and her siblings, Alma Hensley, Ruth Lawter, Mary Lee Patterson, Nellie Adair, Buna "Bunt" Crocker, Annie Fay Adair, Velma "Feisty" West, Joe Adair and Frank "Cotton" Adair.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Tucker of Woodruff, Donna Smith of Woodruff and Michael Lanford.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel (257 N Main St, Woodruff, SC 29388). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
