She was predeceased by: her husband G. H. Guess, Jr.; her son G. H. Guess, III; her parents, Forney Norwood and Lou Ella Beggs Richardson; and her siblings, Harriette Richardson Wynne, Betty Richardson Hefner, Charlotte Richardson Humphrey, F. N. Richardson Jr., Navy and Stewart A. Richardson.
She is survived by: her daughter Alison Guess Still; her son-in-law Mike Still; her grandchildren, Michael Hugh Still and Kori Annice Still; and her siblings, Georgia Richardson Bell, Virginia Richardson Highsmith, Shepard A. Richardson, Herbert C. Richardson, Douglas P. Richardson and Donald S. Richardson. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Salem United Methodist Church (7191 Hendersonville Highway, Hendersonville, SC 29418).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her memory to either Stokes Cemetery, c/o Louis Guess, 524 Black Creek Road, Walterboro, SC 29488, or to Old Oakland Cemetery, c/o James Kelley, 2076 Trailwood Drive, Decatur, GA 30032.
