He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Edgar and Elela Jane Dixon Metcalf; and his wife Joyce Smith Metcalf. He is survived by: his children, Darlene M. Gardiner (Gary) of York, SC and Mick Metcalf (Alicia) of Iron Station, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
