The memory of Gail Herndon Boyd (York, South Carolina), who passed away on May 27, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dekalb Herndon and Annie Lutz Herndon; and her husband Edward Neal Boyd. She is survived by: her sons, Steven Boyd (Barbie) and Clay Boyd (Ellen); her grandchildren, Ross Boyd (Alexandra), Jan Boyd and Jill Boyd; her stepgranddaughters, Elizabeth Farr, Kathryn Farr and Caroline Farr; her great grandchild Luke Boyd; and her siblings, Wayne Herndon (Bettye), Audrey Branch, Dorothy Williamson (Edward), Jeanette Poole, Hilda Miller and Linda Pym.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel (2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church (4858 McConnells Hwy, York, SC 29745).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethesda Presbyterian Church Child Care Center, or to the Bethesda Cemetery Fund, 4858 McConnells Hwy., York SC 29745.
