He is survived by: his sons, Kevin McCarter (Susan) of Charlotte, NC and Jeff McCarter (Andrea) of York, SC; his grandchildren, Abbe, Ele, Ben, Haden, Melia, Valor, Autumn and Ariah; his close friends, Kenda Knits, Kenneth Price, Ruby Bennett and Clover Knits; Buddy Conners (Summer) of Conway, SC.
