She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Burris Byrd; her son-in-law Edward Keith Byrd of Charlotte, NC; her siblings, John Smith of Indiana, Elijah Smith of Florida and Sally Sherrod of Ohio; her grandchildren, Edward Byrd, Jr. (EJ) and Ashley Armstrong; and her siblings' children, LaCharley Sherrod and Ormega Smith. She is also survived by Three great grandchildren.
