With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Barnes Benoit in York, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Barnes and Ora Barnes; her husband John Edward Benoit; her son Timothy Barnes; and her brother Stevie Barnes.

She is survived by: her sons, John T. Benoit (Christie) and Blake Freeman (Wayne); her stepson Steve Benoit (Leighanne); her siblings, Ronnie Barnes, Larry Barnes, Ernestine Younts and Rosemary Deaton; her grandchildren, Travis Benoit, Emma Benoit, Ashley Church, Ashley Moore and Emily Turner; her stepgrandchildren, Ashleigh Benoit and Stephanie Williams; Kenny Gunn.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for her medical expenses.
