He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Hemphill; his siblings, Leroy Adams (Wanda), Jackie Douglas (Furman), Kenneth Adams, Roxanne Haggins, George Hemphill, John Hemphill, Ethel Hemphill, Elaine Gray and James Hemphill; his children, Michael McDowell (Carolann), Myyokka Dunlap and Martavis Dunlap; and his grandchildren, Aaron McDowell (Kyah), Jeremiah McDowell, Janayi Barnette and Devon Dunlap. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
