She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Schmidt (Feist) and Leopold Schmidt; her husband Joseph Usselman; her siblings, Josephine Schmidt, Irene Schmidt, Leo Schmidt and Frederick Schmidt; and her close friend Martin Ronning.

She is survived by: her sons, Allen Usselman of Mina, SD and David Usselman (Dixie Mattern) of Mina, SD; her grandchildren, Allen Willprecht (Lindsay) of Perham, MN, Adam Usselman of Aberdeen, SD, Jessica Usselman of Aberdeen, SD, Dustin Usselman (Shelby) of Mina, SD and Jennifer Stearns (Lauren) of Mina, SD; and her siblings, Margaret Dutenhoeffer, Gertrude McBurney, Edward Moch (Fran), Mary Rohrich, Darlene Johnson (Jim) and Kathleen Johnson (Garry).
