She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Ellis and Amalia Ellis (Marohl); her husband Kenneth Medenwald; her daughter Wendy Fischbach; her granddaughter Kayla Cunningham; and her siblings, Glenn Ellis, Lois Abel and Gwen Bolster.

She is survived by: her daughter Darci Cunningham (Todd); her grandchildren, Sara Siefken, Lona Simon (Erik) and Brian Cotten (Roxy); her great grandchildren, Abbie, Sophie, Noah Siefken, Kenleigh, Declan, Ledger Simon, Brynn and Braylee Cotten; her son-in-law Fred Fischbach; and her siblings, Pearl Parrish, Gene Ellis, LaFaye Wiese and Russell Kuzel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home (1111 S Main St, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
