He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Schlecht and Esther Schlecht; his siblings, Larry Schlecht, Norbert Schlecht and Dorothy Nelson; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Nelson and Carl Harbuck.
He is survived by: his wife Norma; his children, Ginny Zeyer, Arlie Jr. (Kathleen) and Lane (Donna); his sister Marilyn Harbuck; and his grandchildren, John Charles Zeyer (Ann), Lindsay Zeyer, Matthew Schlecht, Samantha Jergenson (Troy), Mackenzie Childress (Chris), Shawn Johansen (Kayla), Tyler Johansen, Stephanie Fratzke (Jason), Amber Brick (Jesse) and Cassandra Medinger. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
