He is survived by: his siblings, George, Jack and Clara Knutson; his son-in-law William Peterson; his wife Marilyn Kleespies; his children, Christy Peterson (William), Michelle Snyder (Frank), Terri Hartig (John), Mike Mathews (Jeanne) and Scott Mathews (Holly); his son-in-law Randy Aldinger; his sister Jacque; his sister-in-law Kathie; his grandchildren, Mathew Aldinger (Marie), Kelli Holder (Jeremy), Christian Snyder, Hayden Snyder (Jessica), Scott Hartig (Paula), Brent Hartig, Carrie Neumiller, Andrea Woods (Mike), Brooke Smith (Nate), Tristan Mathews and Jaslynn Mathews; Leo Wildermuth (Annie). He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews; and many faithful family dogs.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Aberdeen Boys and Girls Club chess club or the "YMCA".
