Barbara Kopetsky Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on September 7, 2025, at the age of 77, Barbara Kopetsky of Aberdeen, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hart and Ruth Hart (Derry); her husband Laverne Kopetsky; her parents-in-law, Joe and Iona Kopetsky; her siblings, Linda Phelps, Wanda Franz and Kerry Hart; her nephew Scott Franz; her niece Lori Franz; her brother-in-law Chuck Phelps; and her close friend Irene Ashley.
She is survived by: her sons, Gene Kopetsky and Charles "Chuck" Kopetsky (Joanie); her grandchildren, Dr. Tiffany, Donovan Kopetsky, Brittany Schnell (Samuel), Nicole Kopetsky and Joseph "Joey" Kopetsky; her great grandchild Tobias Arthur Schnell; her siblings, Bruce Hart, Charlene Hart (Michael Bonano) and Bradley Hart (Shawn); and her sister-in-law Mara Hart (Kerry). She is also survived by several brother and sisters in law; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
Barbara's family prefers that memorials be sent to Aldersgate Church in lieu of flowers.
