He was predeceased by: his wife Marguerite; his parents, Champ Clark Newman and Dorothy Grant Newman Shroyer; his brother Grant Newman; and his son-in-law Mark Browning.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary McKinney of Brookings, Kathy Newman of Aberdeen and Dorothy "Gigi" Browning of Mina Lake; and his grandchildren, Jamie McKinney, Anthony Newman, Morgan Browning and Nathan Browning.
