She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Steger and Hulda Steger (Boekelheide); her husband Charles Herther; her grandson Paul Herther; and her siblings, Virgil Steger and Avis Priest.
She is survived by: her sons, Craig Herther (Patty) of Dubuque, IA, Brad Herther (Jayne) of Aberdeen, SD and Steve Herther (Kelly) of Aberdeen, SD; and her grandchildren, Nicole Powers (Brady), Michael Herther, Brian Herther (Morgan), Joe Herther (Nyssa), Ben Herther, Stephanie Herther and Allison McKinney (Jack). She is also survived by 12 great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Storybook Land, the Paul Herther Memorial Scholarship through Northern State University or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
