He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred William and Myra Jane Watson (Campbell); and his siblings, Carl Allen Watson and Jane Ann Friend. He is survived by: his wife Amelia Joan Groft (Amy); his children, Debra Kay Samuelson (Robert), Jodi Lynn Sneva (Kelly) and Scott Howard Watson (Leah); his stepgrandsons, Taylor Legro and Thomas Hogan; his great grandchildren, Noah Brant Olson, Katie Lee Olson, Emily Nicole Turner, Lincoln Edward Turner and Hallie Amelia Mary Schlatter of Bismarck, ND; his nephew Wesley Warren Watson (Brenda); his great-nephews, Kenneth and Mathew of Virginia Beach, VA; and his great-niece Melinda.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mandan United Methodist Church (610 12th St NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
