He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Preston and Doris Preston (Lee); his daughter Diane Preston; his sons-in-law, Paul Neussendorfer and Randy Stern; his sister Betty Fuhrman; and his brother-in-law Lyle Fuhrman.
He is survived by : his wife Fern Weismantel of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Dawn Neussendorfer, Cindy Stern and Patrick Preston (Heidi); his grandchildren, Philip Neussendorfer, Kristin Schauer (Jim), Richard Neussendorfer (Theresa), Pamela Crowther (Tom), Kimberlee Werk (Justin), Amanda Perrion (Ryan), Connor Preston (Tessa) and Taylor Mehlhaff (Ashlyn); his great grandchildren, Gabriel Neussendorfer, Elaina Neussendorfer, Lia Dinger (Kyler), Ahna Jorgenson (Luke), Karina Manhart (Logan), Rebekah Schauer, Joshua Schauer, Caleb Neussendorfer, Jonah Neussendorfer, Hannah Crowther, Emilie Crowther, Thomas Crowther, Jet Werk, Anna Perrion, Emery Perrion, Cadence Perrion, Gideon Perrion, Bennett Mehlhaff, Hollyn Mehlhaff and Teaghan Mehlhaff; his great great grandchildren, Marissa, Michael, Addison, Jaron and Josie; and his sister Barbara Nelson (Harold).
In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church building fund.
