He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Ness; and his sister Jill Ness. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schwandt of Aberdeen; his mother Shirley Syhre (Ness) of Aberdeen; his siblings, Terry Ness of Aberdeen, Fran Ness of Mellette and Cindy Hagen (Dave) of Aberdeen; and his sister-in-law Deb Moser (Don) of Aberdeen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
