It is with sadness that the passing of Jim Kohnen of Aberdeen, South Dakota is shared. Jim, born on December 23, 1953, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Jim will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Kohnen and Pauline Kohnen (Lawyer). He is survived by: his wife Karen Binger; his close friend Jill Kalt; his children, Jessica Kroll (Joel) and Dan Kohnen (Sara); his grandsons, Jace, Ethan and Connor Kroll; and his siblings, Robert Kohnen (Pam), Larry Kohnen (Kathy), Sharon Schroeder and Debbie Germain (Don).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home (1111 S Main St, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
