He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Smith (Fortin) and Floyd Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Crystal and Loren; his granddaughter Angelia Smith; his great grandchild Maddox of Aberdeen, SD; his grandchild Devon Smith; his daughter Ellieanna of Redfield, SD; his child-in-law Miquette Bottum (Nick); his grandchildren, Aiden, Chance and Aria of Tulare, SD; and his close friends, Paul Wolf, Kevin Labrie and Gene Weinreis. He is also survived by sister, a brother, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Garden (5851 East US-12, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
