He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma (Graf) and Gottlieb Schumacher; his wife Verna Ardella Forkel; his son Milo; his granddaughter Ashton Schumacher; and his siblings, Herbert, Marvin, Delbert, Lawrence, Robert, Darlene Kramlich, Viola Winkler and Mildred Preszler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Mundt (Doug) of Aberdeen and Heidi Bratkiewicz (Jeff) of Sioux Falls, SD; his brother Ivan Schumacher (Arvilla) of Hosmer; his daughter-in-law Theresa Schumacher; his grandchildren, Skylar, Luka, Kelsey, Tia, Bailey, Caden, Danny and Sam; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Langston and Grant.
