She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Dewhirst and Marie Dewhirst (Van Osdol); her grandparent Brown (Spink Counties); her husband D. O.; and her siblings, Nancy Thielen and Neil Dewhirst II.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Thompson (Chris) of Paducah, KY and Jess Dillavou (Kimberly) of Aberdeen, SD; her grandchildren, Spencer Sorensen (Michelle), Amy Dowdy (Brannon), Dawson Dillavou, Bailey Black (Seth), Brandon Dillavou and Crystal Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Landyn, Ayden, Braegan, Emma, Braelei, Harper, Braelyn, Lainey and Walker.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Schriver's Memorial Chapel (414 5th Ave NW, Aberdeen, SD 57401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church (1410 N Kline St, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that donations be sent to the Aberdeen Area Humane Society at 2511 385th Ave S, Aberdeen, SD 57402.
