He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Sillman and Palma Sillman (Johnson); his wife Virginia Harty; his daughter Denise; his granddaughters, Emily and Erin; his great grandchildren, Lyla Elizabeth, Dylan, Harper and Declan; his nephew Darren Schumacher; and his niece Dawn Malsam.
