She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Eugene and Shirley Jean Baumann (Ratliff). She is survived by: her husband Dennis Eugene Atkins; her children, Heather Atkins, Jeremy Atkins (Lesley) and Zachary Atkins (Samantha); and her brothers, Donald Baumann Jr. (Elizabeth), James Baumann (Mary) and Mark Baumann (Joy). She is also survived by her children and a proud nana to her ten grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Schriver's Memorial Chapel (414 5th Ave NW, Aberdeen, SD 57401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (1620 Milwaukee Ave NE, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
