She was predeceased by: her parents, Clare and Sarah (Loerch); her former husband Richard Afdahl; her husband Ed Ackerson; her stepgrandson Andrew Ackerson; and her sisters, Elaine Gates, Dee Anderson and Francelle Hoffman.
She is survived by: her children, Susan (Ed Crawford), Michael (Terri Afdahl), Jeffery (Teena Afdahl) and Lisa Ray of Denison, TX; and her stepchildren, Tanya, David Huffman of Selby, SD, Steve, Kristi Ackerson of Aberdeen, SD, Mark Ackerson of Winter Haven, FL, Lori and Pat Dewald of Bowdle, SD.
