He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert "Bob" Voeltz and Blanche Voeltz (Stambach); and his siblings, Joyce, Lavonne, Bob (Dean), Darrell and Marlo.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Altermatt; his children, Chantel of Aberdeen, Chandra of Aberdeen and Travis (Lindsey) of Jamestown, ND; his sister Lana Frederick (Tony) of Yankton; and his nephews, Greg Frederick (Teena) and Steve Voeltz (Cathy) of West Fargo, ND. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and Special Friends.
