It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Osterkamp of Agar, South Dakota, born in Blunt, South Dakota, who passed away on April 17, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Osterkamp and Jennie Osterkamp (Hughart); his children, Roy and Darleen Frye; his great grandchild Walter Osterkamp; his great great grandchild Natalie Nelson; and his son-in-law Bibb Longcrier.
He is survived by: his wife Lilly; and his children, Karen Longcrier of Kittery, ME, V. Martin Osterkamp of Agar, SD, Jan Osterkamp of Hay Springs, NE, Royal Osterkamp (Janet) of Willmar, MN, Ben Osterkamp of Honea Path, SC, Lill Verna Anderson (Charlie) of Agar, SD, Betty Osterkamp of Agar, SD, Penny Van Brandwijk (Jake) of Florence, KY and David Osterkamp (Michele) of Pierre, SD. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
