He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Leafstedt (Johnson) and Earl Leafstedt; his wife Joyce Mortenson of Le Mars, IA; his sons-in-law, Clair Clark and Kirk D. Frazer; his sisters, Mary Jane Hart and June Wilson (Dwight); his half-brother Herb Johnson; and his cousin Lloyd Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Van Ginkel (Soodsma); his child Joelle Frazer of Omaha Keith; and his stepchildren, Val Smith (Roger), Marilee Faber (Keith), Larry Van Ginkel (Minerva) and Karen Lems (Lyle). He is also survived by step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, niece and nephews.
