We announce the death of Sharon Weisser of Alcester, South Dakota, who passed away on October 31, 2026, at the age of 71. Sharon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Sharon will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Sharon will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Sharon’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her father Wendell Pearson; and her brother Regan Pearson. She is survived by: her mother Carol Pearson (Johnson); her husband Randy Weisser; her siblings, Dale Pearson (Karen) and Joan Ahart (Jim); and her sisters-in-law, Linda Pearson, Rhonda Persinger and Suzi Tucker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wass Funeral Chapel (101 W 2nd St, Alcester, SD 57001). A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
