He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Long and Rosetta Long (Gange) of Alpena; his nephew Cory Larson; his grandfathers, Ray Long (Lola) and Alfred Gange (Pearl); and his parents-in-law, Bruce and Joan LaBar.
He is survived by: his siblings, Dennis Long of Summit, SD, Alfred Long (Pauline) of Huron, Cindy Larson (Rick) of Huron and Sharon Barth (Sheri) of Pierre; his wife Ellen Long; his stepdaughter Ada LaBar; his stepgranddaughter Sylvia; and his godchildren, Serena, Randy of Pennsylvania and Thomas of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be sent to Rosette Long at 608 3rd St. N, Alpena, SD 57312 to help cover costs for William's funeral.
