She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernardus Schelling and Marie Schelling (Ymker); her husband Frank Powell; her daughter Sharon Watkins; and her siblings, Hattie Hubers, Marlene Zomer, Minnie Jean VanDerWerff, Rochus, Lambert, John and Cornie Schelling.
She is survived by: her son Marvin Powell (Lois) of Cheyenne, WY; and her grandchildren, Joanie McFarland (Vern) of Hubbard, NE, Denise Powell of Sioux City, Shawn Stevens of Sioux Falls, SD, Marcus Stevens (Grace) of Kansas City, MO, Shane Powell (Shelly) of Aledo Texas, Amber Mendoza (Jay) of Brighton Colorado, Brittnee Frerichs of Milbank, SD, Lacey Bates (Doug) of Wellington Colorado and Jordan Powell (Kelsey) of Cheyenne, WY.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Koehn Bros Funeral Home - Armour (821 Main St, Armour, SD 57313-0339). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at 620 E 1st St, Corsica, SD 57328.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Netherland's Reformed Church in Corsica.
