James F. Whetham Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of James F. Whetham of Armour, South Dakota is shared. James, born on March 22, 1942, passed away on September 24, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James F. Whetham to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Whetham and Agnes Whetham (Quinn); and his parents-in-law, Clarence and Elizabeth Leonard. He is survived by: his wife Margie Whetham of Armour; his children, Brenda Deaner (Paul) of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, Brian Whetham (Lorie) of Garretson, Barb Whetham (Bob Nelson) of Sioux Falls and Theresa Skinner (Bryan) of Hartford; his grandchildren, Tristan Mack, Andy Mack (Simone), Josh Deaner, Magan Cuka (Josh), Alyssa McQuirk (Jason), Patrick Whetham (Mollie), Ashton Nelson (Logan Iossi), Alex Nelson, Maty Morrison (Chad), Dan Skinner and Jaxon Skinner (Kendra Leighton); his great grandchildren, Aiden, Brody, Cruz, Chloe, Kennedy, Harper, Camden, Atlas and Elaine; and his siblings, Jack Whetham (Edna) and Judy Fode.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (204 1st St, Armour, SD 57313). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, and as per Jim's request, all monetary donations will be forwarded to the Armour School to support school improvements or potential future bond issues.
