He is survived by: his wife Carol Schlaht; his daughter Becky Harty (Del) of Aberdeen; his sisters, Marilyn Vilhauer of Herreid, Idella Fried of Aberdeen and Elaine Levi of Artas; his grandchildren, Megan Thyen (Ryan) and Matthew Harty (Leah); his stepgranddaughter Lezlie Vilhauer (Jared); his great grandchild Rylee Thyen; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Isabella and Jack Vilhauer.
