He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Dean and Margaret Dean (Clark); his in-laws, Alvin and Myrtle Peterson; his siblings, Arlene, Deanna, Betty and Raymond Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Doug Peterson, Mer Schoenfelder, Tenis Snyder, John Nelson and Darlene Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Deanna (Peterson); his children, Donna Morgan (Dennis) of Artesian, SD, Steve Dean (Holly) of Alamagordo, NM, Molly Ebersdorfer (Jeff) of Artesian, SD, Justin Dean (Lori) of Artesian, SD and Clayton Dean (Lanette) of Artesian, SD; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Sarah (Donna), Travis, Trenton, Colton, Shanda, Kelbi, Garrett, Samantha and Casady; his siblings, Henry (Mary), Bill (Connie), Eleanor, Ruth, Audrey (Barry), Margie (Mario), Katie (Dave) and Debra; and his siblings-in-law, Mick McGraw (Sandy), Darwin Peterson (Janie), Jerolyn Dubro (Stan) and Lorena Peterson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service Artesian Community Center (209 S 2nd St, Artesian, SD 57314). A prayer was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Artesian Community Center (209 S 2nd St, Artesian, SD 57314).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed towards the Sanborn Central Scholarship Foundation or the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
