She was predeceased by : her parents, Steve Merkwan and Ella Merkwan (Vilhauer); her husband Leonard; her mother-in-law Clara Harmacek; her brother Dean Merkwan; her siblings-in-law, Ernie, Alvin Harmacek, Nina Merkwan and Eileen Harmacek; her nieces, Marnie Lee Merkwan and Tracy Harmacek; and her nephew Gregory Merkwan.
She is survived by : her daughters, Denise Probe (Fred) of Sleepy Eye, MN, Gay Lynn Harmacek of Chaska, MN and Julie Bridge (Jim); her grandchildren, Leonard Rodrigues (Rachel), Andrew Rodrigues (Laura), Ethan Rodrigues (Mary), Matthew Berkner (Claire), Jenny Bridge (Kyle Keegan) and Jamin Bridge (Meggie); her great grandchildren, Taziah Hawkins, Kai Rodrigues, Jack Rodrigues, Ella Rodrigues, Ben Rodrigues, Blake Bridge, Cora Bridge and Clay Bridge; her brother Gary Merkwan (Twila) of Pierre; and her sister-in-law Sally Merkwan of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
