It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayton James Wittmeier of Avon, South Dakota, who passed away on August 2, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Rosella Wittmeier and Fischer; his wife Minnie (Gelling) of Springfield; and his siblings, LeVerne, John Delbert, Russell, Eugene, Eileen Skelton, Genevieve Kozel, Lorine Gandolfi, Kalma Koenig and Sheila Idlewine.
He is survived by : his daughters, Debra, Karen and Donna Larsen (Joe) of Crooks, SD; his grandchildren, Jennifer Olsen (Greg) and Lincoln; his children, Madison of Sioux Falls, Ryan Larsen (Abby), Kaylie, Rylie of Crooks, SD., Laura Griffith (Mike), Sadie, Evan, Cole of Sioux Falls, Lisa Collins (Chad) and Brian Ruppelt (Steph); his grandson Jacob of Brookings; his sons, Eric Ruppelt (Anna) of Oakland, IA. and Chad Johnson; his sister Gudrun Schroenrogge; and his siblings-in-law, Norman Idlewine, Tiena Zondervan and Willma Wissink of Canton, SD. He is also survived by two cousins and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
