She is survived by: her children, Jackie Salmen (Gordy) of Madison and Jerry Christjans (Rochelle) of Yankton; her grandchildren, Noah Salmen of Madison, Neely Salmen of Sioux Falls and Nathan Christjans of Harrisburg; and her sister Mary Hoferer of Yankton.
