He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Mensch and Ada Mensch (Janzig); and his siblings, LeRoy, Lavern Mensch, Lorriane Wipf and Lois Simek.
He is survived by: his spouse Fran Dertien; his children, Kimberly Mensch (Kent Holder) of Platte Woods, MO, Kate Mensch (Mark Tuniewicz) of Ensenada, Kris, Mark Cahoy of Avon and Korey Mensch of Avon; and his grandchildren, Haden, Erica, Mya, Amanda and Trent. He is also survived by his wife, his children, his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to South Dakota Public Broadcasting.
