He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Quam and Bernice Quam (Thoreson); his siblings, Alton Quam (Margie), LeVerne Quam (Donna) and Barbara Hillestad (James); and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Shefte, Duane Pederson, Dennis Pederson (Delores), Derward Pederson (Willa) and Shirley Thoreson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Terry Quam (Joni) of Baltic and Tammy Carlberg (Bob) of Baltic; his grandchildren, Angela Carlberg, Ashley Ewing (Cory), Marcus Quam (Jessica Doty) and Haley Nelson (Neal); his great grandchildren, Olivia, Arabella, Sloane and Theron Charles; his sister Delores Shefte of Dell Rapids; and his brother-in-law Arvid Thoreson of Luverne.
Memorials may be directed to Ava's House Hospice or to a charity to fund cancer research.
